The Extension program in McLennan County is part of
the statewide Texas AgriLife Extension Service. The Extension Service offers information
and education in agricultural, evironmental stewardship, youth and adult life skills,
leadership, and community development. It is a member of
The Texas A&M University System and is linked with Texas county governments and the nationwide
AgriLife Extension System. Extension values promote citizen and community involvement,
scientifically based education, lifelong learning and volunteerism. The Extension
Service also works cooperatively with other public and private universities, agencies,
and organizations to serve the educational needs of Texans. Educational programs
conducted by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service serves people of all ages regardless
of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, religon, disability, or national origin.
