What are the County Court Civil fees?

What is the Civil County Courts Jurisdiction?

County Court Jurisdictional limits are  $500.00 To $100,000.00

  

 

Do we collect service fees for the constables?

Yes, we do collect service fees for our constables, which are $55.00 per citation/$100.00 per writ and this does not have to be a separate check from your civil filing fees.

  

 

Do the County Courts have forms/paperwork to help file a law suit?

The county courts have no paperwork or forms to fill out to help you along with filing a suit.  We are clerks and can not give legal advice.

**If you are needing to file a case Pro-se the JP Court (Small Claims Court) does have paperwork and forms to fill out if you choose to proceed in this nature.

Do the County Courts provide Civil Searches?

Yes, but civil name searches are not done over the phone. Civil searches are $5.00 per name.

To request a civil name search we will need a request in writing:

  1. The name to search for and any identifiers (i.e.- DOB)
  2. Please also provide a date range to search (i.e.- 1990-2010)

  

Do the County Courts supply copies?

Yes, you can request copies of our files, which are $1.00 per page.

 

What type of payments does the County Clerks Office accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, cash, cashier’s checks or money orders

What are the requirements to refund a cash bond?

  1. The criminal case has to be finalized
  2. There has to be a signed order from the Judge to release a cash bond
  3. A current valid DL and/or government issued photo ID

 

What is needed to pick up a Trust Fund check?

  1. A certified Birth Certificate
  2. Valid Identification - Current TX DL or photo ID
  3. A signed order from the Judge releasing said funds
