• Must be at least 18 years of age
• The Minimum age for marriage in Texas with Parental Consent is 16.  Judicial approvals required for anyone under the age of 16.  Individuals 16 or 17 must have either judicial approval or parental consent.  Minor applicant must provide a certified copy of their birth certificate and Social Security Numbers.  Identification is required for the consenting parent. (Texas Driver's License or Texas State I.D.)
• Both Parties must appear in person
• Must have valid, picture driver's license, state ID, passport or certified copy of birth certificate
• Know Social Security Number
• Must wait 72 hours after license is issued before being married
• If either applicant is divorced less then 31 days, a certified copy of the divorce decree waiving the 31 day waiting period is required.
• The marriage license fee with a Twogether in Texas certificate is $6.00.  Without the Twogether in Texas certificate, the fee is $66.00.  For Twogether in Texas certificate information visit www.twogetherintexas.com.
• Informal Marriage (Common Law) fee is $31.00. Requirements are the same as a formal marriage, except for requiring the date when you began living together as husband and wife.
