Kelly Snell is a McLennan County native who has lived in Precinct 1 all his life. He is a businessman, not a politician, and when he ran for office seven years ago, he promised to stand up for the taxpayer, and no one else. As his record shows, that is exactly what he has done. He’s saved millions of dollars by using business tactics and eliminated waste and good-old-boy deals. Kelly leaves no stone unturned when it comes to finding ways to save our tax dollars. Prior to being your County Commissioner, Kelly has been very successful in his professional career in which he has run Corporations and Management in customer service business for over 20 years. In his management years he achieved the diamond manager’s guild reserved for the top 10% of the managers in the United States. And was a member of ATCON Profit Group working to help other business owners improve efficiency and productivity in there business operation.
Currently Kelly serves on the Heart of Texas Council of Governments Board, the Lorena TIRZ Board as the Vice Chair, the McLennan County Leadership Advisory Board, participates in the Reintegration Roundtable Steering Committee, goes on Business Visitation Retention visits through the Waco Chamber and has received the County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas Commissioners Court Advanced Curriculum Certificate.
Kelly is married to his wife, Paula for 25 years and has two married daughters, one son and three grandchildren.
