star What is D.A.R.E.?
DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is a substance use prevention education program designed to equip elementary school children with skills for resisting peer pressure to experiement with tobacco, drugs, and alcohol.

star Goals
Our goal is to prevent substance use among school children. The program targets children before they are likely to have been led by their peers to experiment with tobacco, drugs, and alcohol. By reaching children at an age when they are most receptive to drug prevention education, DARE seeks to prevent adolescent drug use and to reduce drug use and to reduce drug trafficking by eliminating the demand for drugs.
