Request a License Copy

How do I obtain a copy of my marriage license?
If sending in a request, please include the following:
  • Your name at the time of the marriage
  • Your spouse's name at the time of the marriage
  • Date of Marriage (or at least the estimated year)
  • Mailing address to return your copy
  • Certified copy $6
  • Plain copy $1
All marriage licenses recorded in the McLennan County Clerk's office from January 1, 1933 to the present are also available online using our Marriage Records Search.  You must register once you get to the web portal to view, download, or print images.  Plain copies cost the same as above ($1).  Certified copies ($6) can only be issued as hard copies in our office.
