Specialized Caseloads


The vast majority of probationers are on standard misdemeanor or felony caseloads. The Community Supervision and Corrections Department (CSCD) currently operates the following Specialized Caseloads which supervise a reduced number of offenders due to their increased risks and needs:
  • Driving While Under the Influence (DWI) Drug Court Caseload
  • Mental Health Caseloads
  • Sex Offender Caseloads
  • Substance Abuse Caseloads
  • Substance Abuse Felony Punishment (SAFP) Caseloads
  • Violent Offender Caseload

In-House Programs


The McLennan County CSCD currently operates or contracts for the following in-house programs/courses:
  • Batterer's Intervention and Prevention Program (accredited by TDCJ-CJAD)
  • Community Service Program
  • Curfew Verification Program
  • Drug Offender Education Program
  • DWI Education Program
  • DWI Intervention Program
  • Financial Planning Class
  • Fugitive Apprehension Unit
  • Non-Intimate Partner Violence Program (NIPV) 
  • Presentence Investigation Unit
  • SAFP After-Care Counseling
  • Sex Offender Chaperone Class
  • Substance Abuse Caseload Counseling
