Agenda & Jurisdiction
19th District Court is a Court of general jurisdiction handling felony law matters. Criminal cases are assigned to the 19th and 54th District Court on a random computer-generated basis.
Jury Trials
Jurors report at 8:00 a.m. on date indicated on jury summons. After listening to instructions given by the District Clerk, they will be assigned to the various courts requiring a jury. Jury trials normally begin on Monday. For more information, please view the District Clerk's Juror Information page.
Courtroom Etiquette
Most hearings are open to the public. Appropriate dress is expected in the courtroom. No shorts, tank-tops, hats/caps for men, or bare feet are allowed. Children under 7 and unattended children are not allowed in the courtroom.
PSI Notice
If your client is going to enter a plea of guilty and a PSI is being ordered, please make sure your client fills out the PSI packet and email it to the Probation department at [email protected] prior to the plea date. Therefore, your client can appear via Zoom from your office or appropriate location (not in a moving vehicle). If the paperwork is not timely submitted to the CSCD, then your client must appear in court with the PSI packet completed.
