McLennan County's own Waco Mammoth Site became an official national monument on Friday, July 10 by presidential decree. The Site features the remains of Columbian Mammoths dating back more than 65,000 years. With the new designation, tourism and economic development should see a positive uptick. Congratulations to the City of Waco and Baylor University whom share management of the Waco Mammoth Site. For more information, visit the KXXV News Channel 25 website.
