Family
Commissioner Jones moved to Waco in 1990 to attend Baylor University where he graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance. He worked at a local Waco business to help pay his way through college. This is where he met his wife, Merryl. They have been married for 17 years and have 2 sons, Grant and Reid.
Religion
The Jones Family are members of Antioch Community Church of Waco.
Community
As County Commissioner of Precinct 3, Will currently serves on the McLennan County Finance Committee; McLennan County Rural Transportation District; Waco MPO (Metropolitan Planning Organization); TIF Zone Board (Tax Increment Finance); Heart of Texas Fair Board and countless other organizations as nominated by the Commissioners Court.
Will's co-chairing of non-profit events began 10 years ago with the Cattle Baron's Ball which was the most successful fundraiser of its time. He has continued to donate his time over the years to the:

- Muscular Dystrophy Association

Will was also a candidate in 2010 for Chair of the McLennan County Republican Party.
